Vivero del Quindio, Café Colombiano, nestled in the charming town of Guararema, Brazil, is much more than a typical espresso bar — it is a heartfelt cultural immersion into the rich traditions of Colombian coffee and cuisine. This delightful café transports visitors straight to Colombia’s vibrant Quindío region through its authentic decor and warm, inviting atmosphere.
From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by the cozy, retro-rustic setting, tastefully adorned to evoke the spirit and colors of Colombia. The owners, native Colombians, offer a uniquely personal touch, making every guest feel like a welcomed friend. Jaime and his team share not only exceptional coffee but also stories and laughter that create a memorable experience far beyond what one might expect from a coffee stop.
The highlight, naturally, is the coffee itself. Brewed with care from select Arabica beans, the cup is robust, smooth, and perfectly balanced—a genuine celebration of Colombian craftsmanship. But the pleasures do not stop there. The menu is a captivating blend of traditional Colombian treats and inventive twists that delight the palate. Guests rave about the refreshing limonada com coco (coconut lemonade), an exquisite blend of tart and tropical flavors that refresh and invigorate.
Complementing this are delightful snacks like the bolo de capim cidreira (lemongrass cake) — moist, fragrant, and comforting — and the empanadas, which are crispy, savory parcels filled with rich ingredients echoing Colombia’s food heritage. For several visitors, the bolinho de yuca, a perfectly fried cassava cake, emerged as the star, embodying simplicity and taste in every bite.
What truly sets Vivero del Quindio apart is its ability to create a serene refuge surrounded by greenery, offering guests a moment of calm and delight in an often busy world. The subtle background music enhances the ambiance without overwhelming conversation, allowing the flavors and stories to shine.
Customer testimonials speak volumes about the extraordinary experiences here. Marco Aurelio Grosso calls it a "fantastic place" where the decor transports you to Colombia, while nbnadav highlights it as a "hidden gem" with friendly staff and excellent coffee. Keila Sashida appreciates not only the charming environment but also the attention to detail, noting the thoughtful differentiation in serving ware for men and women, an example of the heartfelt hospitality that permeates this space.
Visitors also cherish the warmth and humor brought by the charming cat, Pablo Escobar, affectionately mentioned by Rodrigo Silva, adding a homey touch to the atmosphere. The owner’s passion shines through in every interaction, fostering a genuine connection with guests, as Jean Phillipe Lafond emphasizes, praising the "genius" menu and delicious offerings.
English and Portuguese speakers alike find common ground here, with Luis Costa highlighting how Vivero del Quindio feels like “a little piece of Colombia in the heart of Guararema,” a testament to the café’s success in preserving and sharing a vital cultural experience beyond borders.
Whether you are a coffee aficionado, a cultural explorer, or simply seeking a cozy nook to unwind, Vivero del Quindio, Café Colombiano offers an authentic, sensory-rich escape.

Fica a dica! ????????
